I'm currently seeking representation for my novel, Working Class Hero. Ashamed of his cowardly behavior during a mass shooting on his elite college campus, twenty-year-old Nick Avellino abandons his studes and returns home to his blue-collar Long Island town. To aid his struggling father, Nick gets a job working the midnight shift at a local 7-Eleven, where a botched holdup ends with the robber near death and Nick hailed as a hero. But with no witnesses to the incident, the police are suspicious of Nick's story and are determined to discover the truth. With the help of Alison Carpentier, a co-worker fleeing a failed marriage, Nick must come to terms with what happened on the day of the shooting, his actions on the night of the robbery, and the way that small choices can change a life forever.
